As a designer, my life is about questions. Some questions are easy: What do I want to do for the rest of my life? [Graphic design] What do I want to accomplish? [Connections to my audience through good visual communication] What's for lunch? [Tuna sandwich, yum] Some questions are more difficult: How can I effectively create a network and system of communications and mediums to truly convey the requirements and aspirations of a project? [Yeah, that one's a little harder to answer]. Yet answers are the challenges that make design work worthwhile and interesting for me, so my design process is about framing and re-framing a project to fit its ever-evolving needs. My job as a designer is ultimately not just to ask the right questions, but to come up with real-world answers.

Besides design, I'm an avid crafter; I hand-bind books and journals; I love knitting and sewing, screenprinting and letterpress; and I love making cupcakes, I also love to travel and have lived in the US, Peru, Argentina and Italy. I speak fluent Spanish and Italian and enough French to find a bathroom and order a hot dog. I also love to teach and tutor others and so I tutor in graphic design and writing and am a babywearing leader and instructor for the SF Bay Area Chapter of Babywearing International.
